Successful completion of the first stage of R&D project with the support of FASIE fund

The first stage of R&D project “Software development for analyzing molecular genetic characteristics of recurrent glioblastoma based on to high-throughput DNA sequencing” has been completed. The work is carried out with the financial support of "Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises". All the tasks set at this stage are fully completed.

The main goal of the project is to develop a software package to support decision making in the treatment of recurrent glioblastoma. The program should analyze data from high-throughput DNA sequencing of the tumor and circulating cancer of the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF).

During the first stage of R&D, the following planned tasks were completed:
1) A module for loading high-performance sequencing data NGS (Loading Wizard) has been developed.
2) Using the Loading Wizard, the data from both internal and external sources are integrated into the system.
3) A database architecture has been developed based on a comprehensive analysis of possible types of genetic mutations and variations. The database provides for storing information about single nucleotide polymorphisms, structural variations, copy number variations, DNA methylation status along with a biological annotation, necessary technical parameters and a history of the production procedure.
4) The first data of the full-exome sequencing of solid biopsy of glioblastoma were processed.
