Seven Russian and French students have completed a summer internship at Novel Software Systems. During the period from 9 to 12 weeks students were engaged in real projects on Machine learning and Bionformatics tasks.
Students from ENSAI university (France) used Deep Learning technology and employed web development tools on projects such as recognition of myelin sheaths of neurons and detection of the extent of their damage. École Nationale de la Statistique et de l’Analyse de l’Information (ENSAI) is one of leading public higher education institutions in France, a member of the Grand Ecole association, and its specialization is Data Science.
Students of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Novosibirsk State University worked on tasks such as protein mass spectrometry and the search for protein markers of psoriasis. Among the projects was the processing of the third generation Nanopore sequencing data, searching for structural variations of the genome and single nucleotide polymorphisms, search for gene expression and aging associations.
A student of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science of Novosibirsk State Technical University was engaged in supporting DevOps practices for the computing infrastructure of Novel Software Systems, as well as dockerizing applications such as Helisphere.
